Ohio State Marion Excellence in Research and Creative Practice Award nomination deadline

On behalf of the Research and Creative Practices Committee, we are excited to announce the inaugural “Ohio State Marion Excellence in Research and Creative Practice Award.”

The Ohio State University at Marion seeks nominations for a new annual award to recognize the excellence and outstanding contributions in research and creative practices by faculty at The Ohio State University at Marion. All nominations and self-nominations are welcome. In their deliberations, the committee will consider research over the past three years and solicit feedback from the chairs of the nominee's department.

The award will include a monetary honorarium of $1,000 and will be announced during the last week of classes. The committee may also confer Certificates of Excellence in Research to recognize faculty members whose work was deemed highly meritorious by their department chairs and by the committee. Certificates of Excellence in Research may be awarded to clinical associated faculty as well, as they may engage in extensive research even though their positions do not formally require research. Assistant and Associate Professors are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Alber Scholars are happy to announce Innovation Tank, a change-making challenge. Innovation Tank invites current Ohio State Marion students to design one realistic, implementable improvement that could strengthen the Ohio State Marion Campus. Finalists will pitch their ideas as they compete for scholarship awards.

Design a realistic, implementable improvement that could better the Ohio State Marion Campus. Compete for scholarship prizes. Find details and complete the nomination form online.
