Services for students are available through tele-mental health appointments via Zoom and in-person. Mental health concerns or stressful events can lead to diminished academic performance or a reduction in the ability to function well. If you are in crisis call 9-1-1. To speak to someone outside of normal office hours, students can reach the Ohio State After-Hours Line at (614) 292-5766. The start of each semester is a transition for everyone, whether you are a returning student or new to our campus. Allow yourself time to acclimate and settle into a routine. Establishing a set schedule and following these tips will help you find a balance and manage the stress that goes along with being a college student.

The Office of Counseling and Wellness is a resource that is available to all Ohio State University at Marion students. Services are free, confidential and easy to schedule. Common reasons students request services, include:
- Feeling stressed out or anxious
- Feeling down or depressed
- Relationship concerns
- Sleep problems
- To complete a wellness screening
- Past or current trauma experiences
- Sexual Orientation/Identification
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Suicidal thinking
- Struggles with time management

The easiest way to schedule an appointment is to email Leslie (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Ellen (email@example.com). Every effort is made to have the student seen within a few days to a week of the initial contact. In the first appointment, students can expect to begin the conversation to discuss what is troubling them and explore ideas/treatment that will lead to a resolution. Students guide the process related to the frequency and duration of the counseling process.

Students can hop over to relax and have a few moments in their day to breathe in our Exhale Room! The Exhale Room is open 9 to 5 M-F and students are welcome to take a few minutes to enjoy aromatherapy, guided meditation, bean bag chairs and more! No reservation is needed, come check it out!
