As the days of summer wane and we transition to the crispness of fall, we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming The Art of the Pair event at Ohio State Marion. This event is a wonderful opportunity to gather with friends, enjoy exceptional food and wine, and learn more about the art of pairing flavors that complement one another. You are invited to join us for this unique experience on Monday, October 5, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Guthery Community Room in Maynard Hall.
This exciting event will feature a thoughtfully curated wine pairing experience showcasing select wines from Bokes Creek Winery in Raymond, Ohio. Guests will enjoy expertly paired cuisine prepared by Fort 88 of Upper Sandusky, creating a memorable evening of flavors, conversation, and community.
We are pleased to welcome two special presenters for the evening:
Jennifer Johnson, originally from Marion, Ohio, and now based on California's Central Coast, is a wine enthusiast who delights in pairing wine, food, and music to inspire community and connection. Jennifer will guide guests through the evening's pairings and share insights into how thoughtful combinations can elevate the dining experience.
Mike Frasca, owner of Bokes Creek Winery, will share the story of how he and his wife, Diane, founded the winery in 2010. Guests will learn about the winery's journey, philosophy, and the craftsmanship behind the wines featured throughout the evening.
As a fundraiser supporting programming and outreach efforts at Ohio State Marion, the cost of the event is $75 per person. Guests will enjoy the guided wine and food pairings, fellowship with friends and colleagues, and an engaging evening celebrating local food, wine, and community.
There will also be a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting Ohio State Marion initiatives that enrich educational opportunities and community engagement throughout our region.
