Dean’s Student Advisory Board
Dean’s Student Advisory Board is charged with advising the Ohio State Marion Dean on matters that shape the student experience, including academics, communication, campus life, engagement opportunities, and the overall quality of the Marion student experience.
As a regional campus, Ohio State Marion offers a close-knit community where students, faculty, and staff interact more directly and frequently. The Board helps ensure student voices are heard in real time and that campus decisions reflect the unique strengths, needs, and opportunities of a smaller campus environment—supporting student success, belonging, and connection to both Marion and the broader The Ohio State University community.
Board Membership
Board membership consists of a cross-sectional group of undergraduate students representing different majors, class years, and levels of campus involvement. Members are invited to serve to ensure the Board reflects diverse student perspectives, experiences, and pathways—including students preparing to campus-change and those planning to complete their degree at Marion.
The Board is advisory in nature and is designed to foster open, constructive dialogue between students and campus leadership. Members are expected to share both personal experiences and broader trends they observe among their peers.
