The push to honor a Marion icon continues. Friends and family of the late Greg Swepston ― a teacher, coach and athletic director at Marion Harding — are in the midst of raising funds to name the gymnasium at The Ohio State University-Marion after him and to help refurbish the space.

This autumn marks the first cohort to receive the Foster Family Scholarship, which is the first scholarship to support education students at all the regional campuses of The Ohio State University. Third- and fourth-year undergrads studying early childhood education or the equivalent are eligible.
