After the pencils were put down and the calculators were put away, local high school students were awarded $18,000 in scholarships from Marion Technical College and The Ohio State University at Marion. A total of 113 students from six area schools (Elgin, Harding, North Union, Pleasant, Ridgedale, and River Valley) came to the Marion campus to test their math prowess in the annual OSU MTC Marion Math Challenge.
Leadership Marion is proud to host a Marion Microfarm Summit Thursday, October 7, 4-8 p.m. at the Marion Palace Theater, May Pavilion in downtown Marion. The purpose of the summit is to inform and engage the community on expanding microfarming opportunities in the Marion area.
The Ohio State University at Marion was well represented at Pelotonia the weekend of August 6-8 as eight people from the campus came together to raise over $10,000 for cancer research during this year’s ride to raise research funds for Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
