Professional actor and Ohio State Artist Laureate Kevin McClatchy, in collaboration with The Ohio State University at Marion, will present a screening of the film Scrap Heap, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, 6 - 8 p.m. at The Ohio State University at Marion, Morrill Hall Auditorium, Room 100.

Tuesday, January 14, 5:30 p.m. is the inaugural lecture featuring Ohio State Marion Assistant Professor of Physics, Dr. Chris Orban who will present a lecture entitled, The Science Behind an Unforgettable Year in Backyard Astronomy. Dr. Orban will share his perspective on these events and explain how the sun’s 11-year cycle of magnetic activity made it especially memorable. 

First Gen Friday is a monthly first-person narrative written by other first generation college students who are now fellow faculty, staff, and students at Ohio State Marion. The goal of the stories is to provide advice to other first generation college students and create a sense of belonging among the campus community.

Friends and family gathered in the gym on the campus of The Ohio State University at Marion for a celebration. After a campaign that lasted two years and two months and raised $250,000, it officially became Greg Swepstson Gymnasium in the Alber Student Center.

The Ohio State University and engineering are a big part of the Peters family of Marion, Ohio and synonymous with a father and son who followed similar paths through Ohio State Marion to an Ohio State degree in engineering and successful career positions.
