With approximately 61% of Americans taking at least one prescription medication and 27% taking 4 or more prescriptions in 2025, The Ohio State University at Marion lecture series Buckeye Talks on Tap will take an in depth look at the history and development of drugs. Ohio State Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Ryan Yoder will present a free community lecture entitled “The Evolution of Drug Design: From Remedies to Rationality,” Tuesday, July 8, 5:30 p.m. at Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen.

Each May, a sea of scarlet red geraniums bursts into bloom, encircling the granite Block O statue outside Maynard Hall at The Ohio State University at Marion. The vibrant flowers and the statue they adorn are more than just decoration—they symbolize the enduring legacy of Wayne & Geraldine Kuhn, Ohio State alumnus, respected businessman, philanthropist, and dedicated community leader.

MARION, Ohio (WSYX) — Tucked away at the Larry R. Yoder Prairie Learning Laboratory on the Ohio State University Marion campus are two beehives that are making a big impact. Marine veterans Eric Bailey and Todd Lee introduced the hives to the prairie to educate others and connect with fellow veterans in the community.
