Ohio State Marion hires new enrollment services director

The Ohio State University at Marion is pleased to welcome Ashley Gorden to the staff as director of enrollment services for the campus. Gorden began her new role, Monday, January 7, 2019, the first day of spring semester.
As part of her new role, she will oversee a staff of three, helping plan departmental events, such as visit days; traveling to area high schools and college fairs, and work with the Columbus campus staff to help prospective students through the application, financial aid, and decision making process.
Prior to working at Ohio State, she served as assistant director of admissions at Capital University for the past six years.
Gorden attended graduate school at the University of South Carolina earning a Master of Education. She has two undergraduate degrees from The Ohio State University, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences.
She is thrilled to be back at Ohio State Gorden shared, “To be employed full-time by my alma-mater is a big honor.” “I am excited to be back as part of the Ohio State family.”
“I am looking forward to getting to know the Marion community much better,” added Gorden.
“I come from a big family of Buckeyes, she said. “In my immediate family of five, four of us have Ohio State degrees.”
“For me I loved my experience as an undergraduate student. I am really passionate about higher education and helping students find the right fit. Ohio State has a little bit of everything and a path to get there for everyone,” said Gorden.
Originally from Naperville, IL, Gorden now resides in Columbus, OH. She is married with a 9 month old son. The couple have plans to relocate closer to the Marion area. Gorden is an avid reader, reading 52 books a year on average since graduating college.
