Ohio State Marion classes move virtual earlier than previously announced
The message President Johnson sent November 19th regarding shifting to primarily virtual instruction at the end of the day today applies to Ohio State Marion as well.
For classes on Monday 11/23, Tuesday 11/24, and Wednesday, 11/25, faculty will to shift early to their post-Thanksgiving plans for virtual instruction delivery. However, laboratories and any studio/performance classes could be held next week if that is the best way to complete the in-person portions of the course, continuing to apply our established public health protocols.
Students are urged to check the Carmen sites for each of your courses to be sure you know whether your class sessions next week will be meeting in person or virtually. Please remember that all classes will meet virtually for the week after Thanksgiving, and finals will be completed virtually as well.
Campus buildings will be closed beginning Monday, November 30.
This change is made out of an abudance of caution for our students, faculty, and staff, as the infection rates continue to climb across the state of Ohio.
As you have experienced in your courses, faculty and staff continue to be committed to providing you with the best education possible.
The campus and the university deeply appreciate your understanding of these unusual times in your educational career and your forbearance as we all encounter unexpected bumps in the road. Please do all you can to remain safe and healthy these next few weeks of the semester and over the break.
