A total of 172 students from seven middle schools competed at the annual OSU MTC Marion Math Challenge on the Marion Campus on April 25. When the scores were calculated, the nine top students received $13,500 in scholarships from Marion Technical College and The Ohio State University at Marion. Students from Elgin, Grant, Highland, Monclova Christian Academy, North Union, Pleasant, and River Valley Middle Schools took part.

The Ohio State University at Marion lecture series Buckeye Talks on Tap welcomes Marion, Ohio master carousel carver and restorationist Todd Goings Tuesday, May 13, 5:30 p.m. for a lecture entitled “The Art of Carousel Restoration.”

In Spring 2025, Dr. Nikole Patson’s Psychology of Creativity (Psych 2462) course embarked on an exciting journey to explore how creativity intertwines with nature and sustainability. Students delved into the fascinating psychological study of the creative process, uncovering evidence that nature fuels creative thinking and recognizing the crucial role creativity plays in addressing our environmental challenges.
