Orientation

Orientation at The Ohio State University at Marion will introduce you to life as a Buckeye. In addition to meeting other new students, your Academic Advisor, a Financial Aid Counselor and other members of our staff and faculty, you'll learn about the courses required for your area of study and schedule classes for your first semester. You will discover the wide range of opportunities and resources on campus designed to support your success as a college student.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Orientation for all students admitted for summer semester 2020 and autumn semester 2020 will be delivered virtually.

Watch your Ohio State email for communication about Orientation once you have been admitted and paid your acceptance fee. This email will contain Orientation details and instructions. Only students who have paid the $100 acceptance fee will receive the communication and have access to Orientation registration.

Helpful tips for Orientation registration:

1. Click on the following link which will open a new tab: Buckeye Link

2. Under “Essential Tasks”, click on “My Buckeye Link” and log in using your username and password

3. Scroll down to the bottom section of the page under the heading “Admissions”

4. Click on “Orientation Information”.

5. Move through the tabs to register for your Orientation.

Summer

Access to virtual Orientation for summer semester, 2020 will become available on April 24th to those who have paid an acceptance fee and registered for Orientation.

This is for all new freshmen and transfer students.

You cannot register for Orientation until you’ve paid the $100 acceptance fee.

Autumn

Access to virtual Orientation starts in late May and continues through early August. Register for the earliest Orientation date to have the best choice of courses.

Spring

Orientation for spring semester, 2021 will take place in December, 2020.
