Campus and community invited to Marion Campus Health and Wellness Fair

The Ohio State University at Marion and Marion Technical College have partnered once again to host the Marion Campus Health and Wellness Fair, Wednesday, November 2, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Alber Student Center Gymnasium.

The event is free and open to the public. As many as 40 health and wellness related agencies and businesses from Marion and surrounding counties will be represented at the event.

One unique aspect to this year’s event is the holistic approach organizers are taking to represent health and wellness, specifically representing the 9 dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, creative, environmental, financial, occupational, intellectual, social, and spiritual.

According to Ohio State Marion Mental Health and Wellness Counselor, Ellen Farrell, MS, LSW, the event will be experiential not just going booth to booth and chatting.

“We are planning demonstrations throughout the day on cooking, fitness, and meditation,” said Farrell.

Farrell added, if people leave the event having, “increased their knowledge of all the wonderful wellness resources our community has,” they will consider it a success.
