Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra to perform free concert at Ohio State Marion

The Ohio State University at Marion is pleased to offer a Five Nights on Campus Extra featuring the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra, Saturday, March 28, 3 p.m. In Morrill Hall Auditorium, 1465 Mount Vernon Avenue in Marion.

This concert is free and open to the public. The Central Ohio Symphony presents its annual March Baroque concert in Marion, featuring a 15‑musician ensemble in a relaxed, conversational setting.

This year highlights the Symphony’s oboe players performing works by Telemann, Marcello, Handel, and Bach. The Symphony, based in Delaware, performs throughout Delaware, Union, and Marion counties and is known for its popular Independence Day and holiday concerts. For 45 years, it has combined classic repertoire with innovative new works.

Special thanks to the generous support of Dr. Al May, these concerts are offered without relying on ticket sales.

Five Nights on Campus is a performing arts series designed specifically for the residents of the regional service area of Ohio State Marion and is intended to complement the other entertainment opportunities available in the area. This series features a variety of performance styles from pre-war acoustic country blues music to a Billy Joel/Elton John tribute act, from WWII era female close harmony to barbershop, and closing the season a storytelling narrative. The mission of Five Nights on Campus is to provide exceptional and diverse cultural and educational opportunities and to encourage the community to be a part of campus life.
