Attendees are encouraged to bring your lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments and set up around the central water feature on campus to hear the band.

Band members include some of the best musicians in the Marion area, as well as a diverse group by day, including a golf course superintendent, a contractor, a funeral director, three engineers, and seven music teachers.

The band is led by George Schram. Other members are Bill Swihart, Rick Baird, Steve Cumbie, Neil Miller and Yuji Jones on saxophone, with Mark Stoneburner and Liam Shotwell on trumpet, and George Schram and Thom Richards on trombone. The rhythm section includes Greg Lauer on tuba, Jim Besch on piano, and David Johnston on drums. The band will be joined by renown area vocalists, Johnny Steiner and Ann Schertzer

Sunset Serenade is considered a Five Nights on Campus extra. The mission of Five Nights on Campus is to provide exceptional and diverse cultural and educational opportunities and to encourage the community to be a part of campus life.
