Natalie was a beautiful, talented, intelligent young woman who was like many other college students. She was a sophomore, majoring in fashion design at Kent State University, when she chose to end her life. Natalie’s goal was to be a designer and an advocate, speaking about mental health issues. Sheryl Weber, Natalie’s mother, facilitates this workshop to share her daughter’s story and educate participants about the reality of struggles with mental illness, the devastation of death by suicide, and to inspire others to talk openly, access help when needed and break down stigma.
