This semester, students from Nikole Patson's Psychology of Creativity and Dave Schul's Geographical Perspectives on Environment and Society courses have been hard at work transforming the Larry R. Yoder Prairie Learning Laboratory into a hub of creativity and conservation.
Psychology of Creativity students have crafted a mindfulness walk designed to immerse visitors in the beauty and tranquility of the prairie, fostering a deep connection and respect for this natural wonder.
Environment and Society students have rolled up their sleeves to remove invasive species, prepare prairie seedlings, and clear a site for a new student-managed apiary, ensuring the prairie remains a thriving ecosystem for generations to come.
Come celebrate their incredible achievements and explore the innovative projects that showcase the students' dedication and ingenuity.
Special Guest: Dr. Larry Yoder will be joining us to share a fascinating history of the prairie and provide his insights on these groundbreaking student initiatives.
Light farm-to-table refreshments will be served.
(In case of rain or other inclement weather, we will meet in the Multipurpose Room in the Alber Student Center).
