About this event

Charles River Laboratories (CRL) is one of the world’s largest contract research organizations that has worked on 85% of FDA-approved drugs in the last three years. The company boasts over 20,000 employees spread across 110 different sites in 24 countries. One of CRL’s Safety Assessment sites is in Ashland, Ohio, where scientists make a difference every day supporting preclinical studies that help to determine the safety profile of therapeutics.

The Charles River Ashland College Outreach Program (CRASHCOP) provides the chance for students to meet with CRL’s scientists to learn more about the various roles that are available at CRL. Students will have the chance to learn about who Charles River is as a company, the work that is done, and hear more from the scientists who do the work. Then, students will get the chance to interact/network with scientists from various departments and get to know more about career options from those who actually work in the field.
