On December 4, 2025, a student team from Ohio State Marion put their engineering design skills to the test with engineering students from across the university to compete in the autumn semester College of Engineering’s Fundamentals of Engineering Design Showcase.
The Ohio State University and engineering are a big part of the Peters family of Marion, Ohio and synonymous with a father and son who followed similar paths through Ohio State Marion to an Ohio State degree in engineering and successful career positions.
As we approach the season of giving, Ohio State Marion sophomore electrical engineering major Ethan Kessler is thankful he chose to attend an Ohio State regional campus for a multitude of reasons. Primary among those is the ability to adjust to college by attending a smaller regional campus and the ability to focus on his education without the worry of debt thanks to being awarded the Wm. Kay Davis Excellence Scholarship.
