Emilee Gaitten graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University in spring 2019, and described finishing her degree at Ohio State Marion as, "the best thing that ever could have happened for my education."
Inspired by loved ones who've fought cancer, Ohio State Marion biology major Shayaan Rasheed intends to honor their struggles through his research efforts towards working to eliminate cancer and its pervasive effects. Rasheed becomes the fourth Ohio State Marion recipient of Ohio State’s highly prestigious Pelotonia Undergraduate Fellowship in the past seven years.
A dedicated team of Ohio State Marion faculty, students, staff, and Marion volunteer cyclists that take part in The James Comprehensive Cancer Center’s annual three day cycling and fundraising event Pelotonia, were recently recognized by the organization for raising over $100,000 for cancer research over the past 9 years.
