Solar Eclipse on Campus
The Marion campus parking lots will be open to the community during the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.
Larry R. Yoder Prairie Learning Laboratory
The Larry R. Yoder Prairie Learning Laboratory is a tall grass prairie restoration located on the Marion campus. The restoration project was in 1977 and the site has grown and changed quite a bit since then. Today, 11 acres of restored tall grass prairie are a showpiece on the campus and an attraction for the surrounding communities.
A Taste of the Harvest
Ohio State Marion's annual wine tasting and fundraising event, A Taste of the Harvest benefits WOSU Public Media and WOSB-FM by helping finance the operation of a repeater tower that brings the WOSU signal to Marion, Delaware, Crawford, and Wyandot Counties. The evening features heavy hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to sample wines from around the world.
Warren G. Harding Symposium
The Warren G. Harding Symposium is an academic, social, and cultural exploration of the life and times of America's 29th president. The Symposium presents in-depth analysis and research by authors, historians, researchers and experts on the Harding Era and related areas of interest.
The Microfarm Project
The Microfarm Project makes the business of sustainable urban farming accessible, equitable, and profitable by leveraging the knowledge and science of the land grant university to grow cooperative businesses, make microfarming profitable, train new microfarmers, address racial and social justice by creating access to microfarming opportunities.

Reading Together in Marion
During the summer of 2023, a team of six students from Ohio State Marion researched Marion’s history of literacy advocacy and support, explored present community needs, and then publicized and promoted Marion’s distinct culture of literacy to the public.
