Ohio State Marion Assistant Professor of Physics, Dr. Chris Orban has been selected for a second straight year as an Air Force Summer Faculty Fellow.

The U.S. Air Force Research Lab Summer Faculty Fellowship Program offers hands-on exposure to Air Force research challenges through 8- to 12-week research residencies at participating Air Force research facilities for full-time science, mathematics, and engineering faculty at U.S. colleges and universities.

Professor Orban is an expert on computer simulations of ultra-intense laser interactions. Orban's selection allows him to continue collaborating with the Extreme Light research group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. The fellowship also provides internship opportunities for Ohio State/Ohio State Marion undergraduate students.
