A group of freshmen and sophomores in Ohio State Marion’s education 5101 teaching and learning with drama course, benefitted from a recent demonstration of puppeteering from professional puppeteer and actor Joe Kovacs. Kovacs, who has a lifelong career in puppeteering and is most famous for his work with the Jim Henson Company presented dozens of hand puppets, marionettes, and shadow puppets during a recent class session.
Ohio State Marion peer coaches Makayla Yake and Bryce Moodispaugh share their thoughts on Ohio State Marion's peer coaching program. The program provides student guidance from an experienced student perspective to navigate the many services, both academic and non-academic available through the campus and the university.
This autumn marks the first cohort to receive the Foster Family Scholarship, which is the first scholarship to support education students at all the regional campuses of The Ohio State University. Third- and fourth-year undergrads studying early childhood education or the equivalent are eligible.
