In his sabbatical year, Ohio State Marion Professor of Statistics, Omer Ozturk spent September 2019 through April 2020 conducting agricultural statistical research with a team of scientists at the Biometry Hub from The University of Adelaide, School of Agriculture, Food and Wine in Australia.

A group of student participants in Ohio State Marion’s Pride and Life Skills mentoring program (PALS) have extended their online mentoring through the summer months because of the impact on, not only the young mentees in the program, but the personal and professional growth the college students have experienced as part of the program.

Psychology
After attending The University of Dayton for only one semester, junior psychology major Hannah Belden, found her fit at The Ohio State University at Marion. Belden wanted to find a smaller, more personalized educational experience, so she transferred to Ohio State Marion on the recommendation of a friend and ended up staying longer than she anticipated.

The three students were among 150 selected university-wide to represent the Sesquicentennial Student Scholar Leadership Program. Through this program, students are awarded $2,500 scholarships while they build the skills and fortitude essential to becoming engaged citizens through leadership development and ambassador opportunities.
