One test plus 100 students from six local schools equals $18,500 in scholarship funds awarded at the annual OSU MTC Marion Math Competition. Students from Elgin, Marion Harding, North Union, Pleasant, Ridgedale and River Valley came to the Marion campus to compete.

This autumn marks the first cohort to receive the Foster Family Scholarship, which is the first scholarship to support education students at all the regional campuses of The Ohio State University. Third- and fourth-year undergrads studying early childhood education or the equivalent are eligible.

The Ohio State University at Marion recently inducted seven members into its Alumni Hall of Fame during an inaugural ceremony held Thursday, November 3, at 6 p.m. in Maynard Hall's Guthery Community Room. The awards program honored outstanding alumni who have contributed significantly to their profession, the campus, and the community.

History
The history of the Marion County Courthouse came alive for a group of students at The Ohio State University at Marion when they toured the building Oct. 19 to learn about its former glory and gauge interest in a potential internship program. On the tour led by Marion County Common Pleas Judge Warren T. Edwards, the class of Ohio State Marion history majors were captivated by much of the building’s history. They were especially excited by the hidden vault of documents discovered by Edwards that still is primarily untouched, according to Associate Professor of History Margaret Sumner.
