National campus movement against sexual violence comes to Marion.
Monday, April 03, 2017
Marion Technical College and The Ohio State University at Marion invite the community to a special one-night event to shed light on the issue of sexual violence called Take Back the Night (TBTN), Wednesday, April 19, 7-9 p.m. on the Marion campus.
TBTN is sponsored by the “Changing Campus Culture Grant” the campus recently received.
Students, faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend this free event, in which attendees will meet at the Alber Student Center and march the campus after dark to bring attention to this important cause. In addition to the campus march, there will be speakers, giveaways, community resources, and a DJ.
TBTN is part of a national movement to help bring community solidarity and lend a voice to the issue of sexual violence against women and men alike.
TBTN events occur in over 30 countries worldwide. Over 600 campuses and communities have held Take Back the Night Events to date, reaching over 30 million people with our message, our support, and our commitment to ending sexual violence.
The mission of Take Back the Night (TBTN) as a charitable 501(c)3 Foundation is to create safe communities and respectful relationships through awareness events and initiatives. We seek to end sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse, and all other forms of sexual violence.
