Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community-at-large are invited to join us for Ohio State Marion's Science & Engineering Building Official Ground Breaking, Thur., April 21, 2016, 12:30 p.m. Construction on Ohio State Marion’s $15.5 million, 32,000 sq. ft., Science & Engineering Building will provide state of the art lab space and classrooms for students majoring in science and engineering fields beginning autumn 2017.

WCMH NBC 4 Columbus Meteorologist Ben Gelber filed this recent news story on Ohio State Marion Assistant Professor of Earth Science, Dr. Joel Barker's research and the graduate student who will be visiting Ellesmere Island in the arctic this summer. Ohio State graduate student George Grant will continue the study of an ancient mummified Arctic forest now being revealed to scientists as the ice in earth's most northerly region retreats.

Whether it’s the class clown’s constant disruptions, running in the hallway, hormonal pre-teens caught in a lip lock, fighting, teasing, cell phone use, or passing notes in class, student misbehavior is not a new concept, in fact there is a great deal of research examining misbehavior. Recent research, however, focuses not just on teen behaviors, but on their beliefs about behaviors.
