The Ohio State University at Marion Office of Student Life/Diversity Inclusion will host a free screening of the movie Green Book as part of Black History Month. Green Book tells the story of Dr. Don Shirley, a world-class African-American pianist who is about to embark on a concert tour in the Deep South in 1962. In need of a driver and protection, Shirley recruits Tony Lip, a tough-talking bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx. Despite their differences, the two men soon develop an unexpected bond while confronting racism and danger in an era of segregation. Released in theaters November 21, 2018 (USA) and directed by Peter Farrelly, the movie has earned $31.7 million at the box office. Green Book is the winner of three Golden Globe awards with five nominations.
