This event will engage 60 SOARS students in hands-on environmental science experiences at Ohio State Marion’s Larry R. Yoder Prairie Learning Laboratory. Students will work alongside Ohio State faculty and staff to explore native plants through educational leaf printing and create native seed bombs while learning about prairie ecosystems, biodiversity, and conservation. Through interactive, place-based learning, the event aims to build students’ curiosity about the natural world, increase awareness of environmental science and related careers, and introduce students to Ohio State Marion as a welcoming place for learning and exploration.
