The Ohio State University at Marion will conduct a controlled prairie burn at the Larry R. Yoder Prairie Nature Center at The Ohio State University at Marion, Saturday October 11th, weather permitting.

On the Marion campus, student wellness is thriving thanks to the incredible generosity and vision of community partners. In January 2025, Dr. Jim and Ellen Bazzoli launched a $100,000 endowed fund (with a goal of $200,000) to ensure permanent support for student wellness initiatives that benefit all students, both from Ohio State Marion and from Marion Technical College.

The Ohio State University at Marion lecture series Buckeye Talks on Tap welcomes Ohio State Marion Professor of Psychology, Nikole Patson, who will present a free public lecture titled, “The Many Voices of English: How Language and Reading Build Community,” Tuesday, September 9, 5:30 p.m. at Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen.

First Gen Friday is a monthly first-person narrative written by other first generation college students who are now fellow faculty, staff, and students at Ohio State Marion. The goal of the stories is to provide advice to other first generation college students and create a sense of belonging among the campus community.

Students, faculty, and staff joined the community on Thursday evening September 4th, marching through the center of Marion to kick off The Marion Popcorn Festival, the largest popcorn festival in the world. According to the festival’s website, the festival, which began in 1981 annually attracts crowds of more than 250,000 people.

Donna Bobbitt-Zeher was the first in her family to complete college. Now as an associate professor and Assistant Dean at the Marion campus of Ohio State, every year Donna helps ensure that hundreds of students are successful in navigating college for the first time.

The Ohio State University at Marion will host a unique food, wine, and beer pairing event called The Art of the Pair on Monday, October 6, 2025, 6-8:30 p.m. to support the operation of local repeater tower that strengthens the WOSU-FM radio signal to the people of Marion, Delaware, Wyandot, and Crawford Counties.

The Ohio State University at Marion is proud to announce the return of its annual performing arts series, Five Nights on Campus, offering a rich tapestry of entertainment designed to engage and inspire Marion and the regional community.

The Ohio State University at Marion and all Ohio State campuses begin autumn semester classes, Tuesday, August 26. As is the usual tradition for all new and returning Buckeyes statewide, your respective campus will host a number of campus events as part of Welcome Week 2025 to allow students the opportunity to explore their interest, make friends, and engage with the campus community.
