Folk artist William Florian kicks-off Five Nights on Campus 2022-23 season

The Ohio State University at Marion's Five Nights on Campus performing arts and entertainment series opens the 2022-23 season Thursday, October 13, 7:30 p.m. with folk guitarist William Florian in Morrill Hall Auditorium.

Florian has had an amazing musical journey, starting at age 11 when he received his first guitar after watching the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan show. But his career was almost a non-starter when his seventh grade math teacher wanted to take away his guitar until his grade’s improved. Fortunately, his mother did not agree … and the rest is history.

Since then, he has had an amazing musical career. Florian's road to fame is as much a lyrical journey as the folk songs he plays. Those Were the Days is an upbeat, musical journey of Americas greatest songs of the 60's including songs he performed as lead singer of the famous New Christy Minstrels plus the music of Peter Paul & Mary, John Denver, Pete Seeger, Neil Diamond, The Mamas & The Papas and uplifting originals presented with amusing stories in an intimate show.

All Five Nights on Campus performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall Auditorium. Doors open at 7 p.m. All tickets are general seating. For tickets, sponsorship opportunities, or more information on Five Nights contact Jodi Somerlot at: (740) 725-6156 or e-mail: somerlot.30@osu.edu. Season ticket prices also remain unchanged for 2022-2023, at $60 for Scarlet & Gray Patron tickets; $35 general admission; $30 seniors; $15 students, and $28 campus faculty & staff.
