Ohio State Marion students Jennifer Hopton and Ohio State Marion Bre Napper were named Homecoming Royals during the official Regional Campus Crowning Ceremony held at The Longaberger Alumni House on Columbus campus Friday, September 30, 2022, at 2:30 p.m.

2022 Ohio State Marion Homecoming Court members include: Sydney Harris, a junior psychology major from Bucyrus, Ohio; Jennifer Hopton, a senior social work major from Marion, Ohio; Bre Napper, a sophomore biomedical engineering major from Marion, Ohio; and Jackson Crawford, a junior pre-aerospace engineering major from Marion, Ohio

The crowning event is attended by regional campus student representatives from their respective campuses in Lima, Mansfield, Marion, Newark, and Wooster, as well as faculty, staff, students, family members, and dignitaries from the university.

Royalty members are selected based on their leadership qualities, spirit, integrity, and achievement through their contributions and involvement at Ohio State. The Royalty selection process begins with an application. Based on application scores and GPA, individual interviews are offered and conducted by Ohio State faculty, staff, and alumni. The application and interview scores are combined with the student body vote, and the royalty is announced. Royalty members then volunteer and serve as ambassadors during Welcome Week and Homecoming Week, prior to a student body vote and announcement of the Homecoming Royalty.
