University Chorus to perform free Halloween concert event for families and children

The Ohio State University at Marion invites the community to a free public concert, University Chorus Family Spooktacular Concert, Friday, October 24, 6:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall Auditorium, Room 100.

University Chorus will perform a selection of songs for the season. Audience members are encouraged to sing and dance along to the music, also inviting children in attendance to march along in the event costume parade. This family friendly event will feature popular numbers for the season, activities, candy, prizes, and a kids’ costume parade, (no costume weapons, please).

Chorus members will perform a host of tunes perfect for the season including "For Good" from the musical Wicked; "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" and a medley from Nightmare Before Christmas.

“University Chorus is made up of students who love making music.  Singing together creates joy and connection, and it is our hope to share this joy and build these connections with our Marion community,” said University Chorus Director Sabina Anderson.

“Our goal is to provide a fun, family-friendly event on our campus for local families to enjoy free of charge,” she added.
