Ohio State Marion food, wine and beer pairing event to raise funds for WOSU

The Ohio State University at Marion will host a unique food, wine, and beer pairing event called The Art of the Pair on Monday, October 6, 2025, 6-8:30 p.m. to support the operation of local repeater tower that strengthens the WOSU-FM radio signal to the people of Marion, Delaware, Wyandot, and Crawford Counties.

Mark your calendar to join us in Maynard Hall’s elegant Guthery Community Room located at Ohio State Marion for The Art of the Pair. Indulge your senses in an unforgettable evening of culinary artistry, a refined four unique pairings of food, wine, and beer designed to tantalize true food enthusiasts. Each course is thoughtfully curated to harmonize gourmet flavors with expertly selected wines and craft beers, creating a symphony of taste that celebrates the beauty of pairing.

According to Ohio State Marion Director of Development & Community Relations, this event invites those with a taste for unique dining and social experience to campus in support of a vital cultural resource, while discovering the true art of the perfect pairing of flavors.

“We want to make this a can’t miss social event of the year,” said Gerber.  “WOSU provides central Ohioans a wonderful news alternative through NPR as well as a classical music format that is unavailable through commercial radio in our area. The concept was born out of our annual Taste of the Harvest event and expands on the idea by pairing the perfect food and spirits. This is more than a fundraiser, it is the combination of the blending flavor, friends, and a celebration of fall.”

Jennifer (Rieke) Johnson, a Marion area native and current resident of California, wine enthusiast, and longtime attendee of the Taste of the Harvest event, will attend and share her expertise with wine and food pairings. In addition, radio hosts from WOSU-FM will also be in attendance.

Tickets for The Art of the Pair are available in advance at: https://go.osu.edu/artofpair. The price of tickets is $75 per person.
