Five Nights returns to campus with Lone Raven

Popular band shares and eclectic blend of Celtic and acoustic music.

Ohio State Marion’s successful performing arts and entertainment series Five Nights on Campus returns to Morrill Hall Auditorium after a short winter hiatus on Thursday, March 14, 7:30 p.m. with the sounds of Lone Raven. 

Garnering rave reviews everywhere, Lone Raven performs an eclectic blend of traditional music from various areas of the world, as well as their own original compositions.  With over 20 instruments on stage, the band is fueled by the twin fiddles of Elizabeth Blinkenstaff and Kara Markley, while driven by an explosive rhythm section consisting of Craig Markley and Sid Omasta, and featuring the award-winning guitar playing of Neil Jacobs.  Kara’s highly acclaimed vocal stylings are showcased throughout each performance. 

The mission of Five Nights on Campus is to provide exceptional and diverse cultural and educational opportunities and to encourage the community to be a part of campus life.  The series, which began in autumn 1995, offers an outstanding blend of talented local, national, and international performers. 

Ticket prices for Five Nights individual performances are:  $10 for adults; $9 for seniors; and $4 for students.  Marion campus faculty and staff, which includes all Ohio State Marion and Marion Technical College personnel, are eligible for $8 discounted individual performance tickets.
