Emerald Isle Study Tour - part 1

Students from The Ohio State University at Marion spent spring break learning about the culture of Ireland through EF Tours. 19 traveled to the Emerald Isle and experienced much of what this historic culture had to offer from the people, language, history, food, industry, and more! Students traveled with an experienced tour guide through towns and cities across the country including, Dublin, Galway, Cork, Cobh, Killarney, Kerry, Kildare. They toured world famous St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, witnessed St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the small island villages, and walked the grounds of majestic castles from a bygone era. Students stood at the banks of the famed Cliffs of Moher, and traversed the halls of Cobh's Heritage Museum, learning about the potato famine, immigration to America, and the ill fated voyages of the Titanic and Lusitania.
