Marion campus hires new officer

The Ohio State University at Marion recently welcomed Officer Josh Alexander to the Ohio State police staff on the Marion campus.
Alexander's role helps expand police presence on campus through evening and night class hours. In addition to providing an on campus presence during night time hours and patrol duties, students may contact the public safety office office for evening escort to their automobile, or to get assistance with automotive lockouts or issues.
Alexander formerly served at the Ohio Casino Control Commission from September 2012 to January 2018. His career in law enforcement also included service with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, the Marion Police Department, and the Upper Sandusky Police Department.
Alexander graduated from Wilberforce University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration. He retired from the Ohio Army National Guard in 2015. He began his post-secondary education at Marion Technical College, earning an associates degree in criminal justice. A lifelong Marion native, Alexander graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1995.
