The Ohio State University at Marion will host it's 10th Annual A Taste of Culture International Festival in the Alber Student Center on April 6, 2017. A Taste of Culture played host to a multitude of informational booths, live entertainment, food from around the world, arts and crafts, and short educational discussions, bringing together the customs, traditions, color, and flavor of peoples from diverse ethnicities. Launched in 2008, 500-700 area residents attend this Ohio State Marion event each year and this year was no exception. Faculty, staff, and students joined local community members for a night of learning and celebration of culture and diversity. Local vendors, restaurateurs, and community members came together and provided samplings of food representative of ethnic cuisines from across the globe. Proceeds from donations for the food items were collected and will help fund minority scholarships at Ohio State Marion. This event featured several different kinds of dance and musical entertainment and allowed all who attended to experience the talent and diversity that the local Marion community has to offer.
