Emily began working at the Prairie Nature Center in August of 2003 after completing her bachelor's degree in environmental science at Bowling Green State University. She enjoys working with the public through educational programs and events. Emily as a real love for the prairie plants and is constantly changing her "favorite plant." She loves working outdoors with her youthful prairie staff, whom make the even hardest work more enjoyable.

Jessica Creamer

Student Worker

Jessica began working for the Prairie in October of 2009. A sophomore at The Ohio State University’s Marion campus, she is a Middle elementary education major, with an emphasis in science and math. She looks forward to learning the traditional uses of the various Prairie plants and working closely with groups who visit the Nature Center (especially the kids!). When not on campus, Jessica spends her time with her fiancé & two children, working toward a sustainable living property… with lots of prairie plants in its future

John Sherman

Student Worker

Jon began working for the Prairie Nature Center in October 2009.  He is a sophomore in Middle Childhood Education at OSU Marion and has aspirations of teaching math, science and social studies.  Jon enjoys adventures in the outdoors, eating wild animals and strange berries (he has a good sense of humor!), and traveling.  He’s looking forward to learning about native vegetation and horticulture while at the same time helping the university expand the public’s awareness of the plant diversity in our back yard.
