TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN ECOLOGY


The Ohio State University at Marion invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in Ecology to begin in Autumn Semester 2012. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and a strong commitment to teaching and research.

Faculty on the Marion campus are members of their University departments centered in Columbus. Ohio State Marion, one of the five campuses of The Ohio State University, is located 45 miles north of Columbus and currently enrolls 1800 students. The appointment will be made in the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology (EEOB) at The Ohio State University.

We seek a candidate with expertise in invertebrate ecology working in terrestrial or freshwater ecosystems. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory courses in biology, including laboratory supervision, research, and publication; and providing service to the campus, the university, and their discipline. 

Candidates should submit a detailed cover letter describing teaching philosophy, effectiveness, and experience, as well as a statement of research interests, plans, and experience. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MATH/SCIENCE EDUCATION

The Ohio State University at Marion invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in the College of Education and Human Ecology, School of Teaching and Learning, to begin Autumn Semester 2012.  Candidates must have a strong commitment to and/or evidence of excellence and accomplishment in both teaching and research, must have an earned doctorate, and 3 years of successful elementary or middle school teaching experience (or equivalent).  Tenure track faculty on the Marion campus hold appointments and are promoted and tenured in the School of Teaching and Learning on the Columbus campus. Ohio State Marion, one of the five campuses of The Ohio State University, is located 45 miles north of Columbus and currently enrolls 1800 students. There are approximately 110 full-time and auxiliary faculty.

We seek candidates with expertise in Mathematics methods for Early Childhood (PreK-3) and Middle Childhood (Grades 4-9) OR Science methods for Early Childhood (PreK-3) and Middle Childhood (Grades 4-9).  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate education courses, engaging in scholarship, research, and publication; and providing service to campus, university, and discipline.
