Welcome to the Office of Student Financial Aid. We are committed to helping you make your college education affordable. We offer a variety of services and programs designed specifically to help you find ways to meet your educational expenses. Our staff is dedicated to making sure you receive your aid in a timely and efficient manner.
Your financial aid package may consist of a combination of scholarships, grants, loans, and part-time work through the Federal Work Study program or other outside employment.
While you may apply for financial aid at any time, the priority deadline to apply in order to maximize all your possible financial aid options at The Ohio State University is February 15 for students planning to enroll for classes in the following academic year.
To be considered for financial aid for each school year, you should submit the following applications, preferably by the February 15 priority deadline:
Marion Campus Scholarship Application (current students ONLY). Online application available at http://intraweb.marion.ohio-state.edu/Scholarship/ScholApp.php. Scholarship applications received from current or returning OSU students after the February 15 deadline will be processed on a funds-available basis only.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (F.A.F.S.A.) at http://www.fafsa.gov. This application covers all Federal and State of Ohio aid, including Federal work-study and student loan programs.
Columbus campus scholarship applications at http://sfa.osu.edu/scholarships/
Applying for financial aid does not obligate you to enroll nor does it guarantee an award; it only begins the process of your financial planning in anticipation of your possible enrollment.
