Charles Dickens was the most famous living writer of his time. A Tale of Two Cities, David Copperfield, and A Christmas Story made him a literary star. In 1842, Dickens embarked on a journey to America and having traveled the length of the Ohio River, he disembarked at Cincinnati and began a journey covering much of the state of Ohio. He traveled to Lebanon and Columbus, then on to Delaware, Upper Sandusky (through Marion), and on to Tiffin and Sandusky on Lake Erie. British actor Roger Jerome’s one-man show covers Dickens’ experiences in Ohio with the added bonus of 1840s American music.
