"Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating: Contributions and Healthier Alternatives"

The Office of Counseling and Wellness will host a Brown Bag Series Learning Lunch with Dr. Tracy Tylka, faculty member from the Psychology Department. Dr. Tylka will discuss: "Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating: Contributions and Healthier Alternatives". This presentation will cover clinical criteria for eating disorders as well as describe disordered eating (attitudes and behaviors that are harmful but often go unrecognized because they do not meet clinical criteria). Cultural, biological, and psychological contributions to eating disorders and disordered eating will be discussed, as well as healthier alternatives for how to treat and respect the body. The Office of Student Life will provide snacks.
